  • Charleston Fire is dispatched with an alternating "high/low" tone that plays for several seconds prior to the dispatcher reading off the call info. It appears that this tone stays the same, regardless of the call (11/23).
  • In certain cases, such as a car crash with injuries, dispatcher may temporarily patch CPD and CFD together and the dispatch will be heard on both frequencies. Once the dispatch has been given, the patch will be stopped and both frequencies will be separate again.
